What Is It?

The Digital Cinema Grant is an ongoing grant program. Through this program the Digital Cinema Grant donates the use of RED Digital Cinema camera equipment to filmmakers who are making Showcase Reels, "Low Budget" Independent Features, PSAs, Music Videos or any other type of Short, Non-Profit film.

The Digital Cinema Grant Program currently has one RED One Camera package attached to the program and may grow overtime. This camera is rotated from production to production, with time alloted for camera service and maintenance between shows.

To Have your project considered for the Digital Cinema Grant Program, you must submit a complete proposal to the program. This proposal is then reviewed by a board and a decision is made as to wether or not the proposal meets the programs guidelines and scheduling requirements.

What to include in the proposal:

A cover letter describing the status of the production, who you are, etc..

A shooting schedule or at least time period you would liek to be considered for.

A copy of your budget or budget estimate*

Resumes and bios of all key people involved.

A 3 line synopsis
Application Fee ($55)
Feel free to add anything that you think will help your proposal stand out.

*All feature length projects must include actual budget breakdown.

After receiving and reviewing your proposal, we will notify you as to the possibility of you obtaining an equipment grant. We will respond as quickly as possible, but please allow three weeks for an initial response.
